Who are we?

Silicon Vine is a web development and internet consultancy based in Leicester, UK.
The team include:

Neil Ellul

Managing Director

Neil conceived and launched Internet Magazine for Emap Publishing in 1994 before joining Easynet Group Plc as Marketing Director in 1996. In 2002 Neil founded For80 Ltd which later became Silicon Vine.

James Scott

Technical Director

On completing a degree in Software Engineering in 2003 James founded jammus:design, an Internet and Ecommerce service provider. In 2007 jammus:design merged with For80 Ltd to form Silicon Vine.

Jo Cogger

Lead Developer

Jo graduated from the University of Leicester in 1994 with a BSc in Maths. Moving to the NHS in 1999, Jo was promoted in 2002 to a development position and began specialising in web development in 2004. Jo joined Silicon Vine in 2008 as lead developer.

We also work with a number of freelance designers, illustrators, programmers and other professionals. People like David, Rachael, Louise and Chris who contribute their own unique talents and ideas to bring out the best in what we do.

What do we do?

Silicon Vine produces web-based Intranets for companies like Concateno Plc, Continuum Commerce and Robert Guy Services Ltd

We have found that many businesses do not realise the depth and potential of the knowledge contained within them. Our custom software, PaintBox, is tailored to the individual needs of each of our clients to help them unlock, and capitalise on, this hidden knowledge.
